Giesswein's Freiburg Bootie. Too Cute to Pass Up!

MSRP $59.95
I got my toddler a pair of these adorable Giesswein Freiburg booties.  Not only are they super cute, but they are very well made.  The upper cuff is made of a stretchy cable knit wool that allows them to go on with ease.  I think she is close to being able to get them on by herself!  In my world that is a very big deal!  The aesthetic of the cable knit cuff and stitching detail around the heel is what really makes them adorable.  This is important because at the age of two my daughter is already a fashionista!   The booties are made of 100% boiled wool which Giesswein proudly states is natural, breathable, washable, healthy and earth-friendly.  The sole is made of 100% natural latex rubber which gives the booties traction and importantly is non marking.  My daughter loves them so much it is hard to get her to wear her outdoor shoes.  I saw my husband and her walking in from the garage one day and then saw her cream colored booties...I thought for sure they were toast.  I was shocked when I got them off of her and they still looked brand new!  They really are moisture-wicking, soil-resistant and odor resistant.  Don't worry, if you do get them dirty they can go in the wash machine!

Not only is the product great, but so is the company.  Situated in the Tyrolean Alps of Austria, Giesswein is a third-generation family business that has produced natural and breathable boiled wool slippers for more than 50 years. Giesswein's soft but durable boiled wool has the extraordinary capacity to maintain both warm and cool temperatures when needed.  The Austrian Company is well known for their wool house slippers and take pride in their eco friendly production.  Giesswein's environmental commitment starts with an economical use of resources, continues with a non-polluting production, and ends with a natural way of packaging.

Be sure to check out the rest of their line.  Everyone needs a good pair of slippers!
